BANK EXAMINER

LITTLE ROCK INFORMATION SYSTEMS

 

Position #22088738           Little Rock

Position is for an Information Systems (IS) bank examiner.  The chosen applicant will be working as an IS bank examiner, focusing efforts on evaluating a bank's technology infrastructure and operations.  The agency is looking for a candidate with IS experience; or an individual with Bank Information Technology experience.

The person applying for this position should have a four-year college degree in an IS or business related field of study.  IS Audit experience or additional IS accreditation is a plus.  Written and oral communication skills, a positive attitude, and a personality that allows the person to work well with others in a team environment are critical.

The position requires significant overnight travel.

BANK EXAMINER TRAINEE

 

Position  #22088744          Little Rock

 

Works under immediate supervision and is responsible for analyzing:  Financial statements; Investment portfolios; Internal controls; Correspondent accounts; Policies and procedures; and Compliance with laws and regulations.  Must have a formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field.  Starting salary is $45,010 and requires significant overnight travel.

The State Bank Department was created by Act 113 of 1913. The Department is charged with regulating commercial banks with main offices in Arkansas. These 80 banks hold assets of $90.1 billion as of September 30, 2017. The Department also is charged with supervising the bank holding companies of Arkansas state-chartered banks; state-chartered trust companies; regional and county industrial development corporations; industrial loan institutions; and capital development companies. The Department operates to ensure the safety and soundness of, and public confidence in, these institutions and organizations.
