Before Filing a Complaint
First, contact the financial institution to try to resolve the issue. If you cannot reach a resolution or if they are unresponsive, please follow the instructions below to submit a complaint.
Find the Regulator
Confirm that the financial institution is regulated by our Department. We only regulate Arkansas state charted banks.
- If you have a complaint about a national bank, please submit a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
- If you have a complaint about a bank chartered by a state other than Arkansas, please submit a complaint with the state bank regulator of that state.
If you are unsure the bank is regulated by our Department, please contact us for assistance.
Fill out a complaint form
Formal complaints must be submitted in writing. We accept typed and hand-written complaints if they are legible. All complaints must be signed, dated, and have a phone number and return address.
